摘要:
An ion generating element (10) has at least one first discharger (12) for generating positive ions and at least one second discharger (13) for generating negative ions, both fitted or printed on a single dielectric member (11). The first and second dischargers (12) and (13) are each composed of a pair of a first or second discharging electrode (12a) or (13a), respectively, formed on the surface of the dielectric member (11) and a first or second induction electrode (12b) or (13b), respectively, buried in the dielectric member (11), and are arranged both on the same flat surface of the dielectric member (11) but separately from and independently of each other. This construction helps to alleviate the neutralization among the generated ions themselves, thus to effectively release both positive and negative ions, and thereby to enhance the ion generation efficiency.

An ion generating apparatus, comprises: an ion generating element (10) including: a positive ion discharger (12) for generating positive ions; and a negative ion discharger (13) for generating negative ions, the first and second dischargers arranged separately from and independently of each other on a base member (11) with a distance securing insulation between the first and second dischargers;
a blower (2) for releasing the ions generated by the positive and negative ion dischargers into air; and a voltage application circuit (20) wherein the blower blows wind in a direction parallel to a surface of the base member.

An ion generating element, comprises: a positive ion discharger (12) for generating positive ions; and a negative ion discharger (13) for generating negative ions, the ion dischargers arranged separately from and independently of each other with a distance securing insulation therebetween, characterised in that at least one of the dischargers includes a discharging portion (12j, 13j) for causing electric discharge, and a conducting portion (12k, 13k) having a voltage same as the discharging portion, and surrounding a perimeter or part of the discharging portion. With such an arrangement positive ions are inhibited from reaching the discharge portion of the negative ion discharger, and vice versa.

A cathode-ray tube control device is disclosed which displays data obtained from a personal computer on the screen of a television receiver in superimposing relation to the picture of a broadcast. Clock pulses are generated, and these are counted in synchronism with the horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals from the television receiver. Display timing signals including horizontal scanning display period signal, horizontal retrace period signal, vertical scanning display period signal, and vertical retrace period signal are delivered in response to the resultant counts. Then, read-out of data to be displayed is controlled in accordance with the produced timing signals, and the read data is displayed on the screen such that it is superimposed on the picture of a television broadcast.
