When the working speed ratio comes near a predetermined critical speed ratio, the operation is maintained at the critical speed ratio while the pump motor (8) for low speed is kept inoperative and no pressure difference exists between the transmission circuits (31a, 31b), thereby transmitting power through the line for high speed (15).

    摘要: A nonstep speed change gear comprising a differential gear mechanism (4) forming high and low speed side mechanical transmission system, a variable speed hydraulic transmission mechanism (12) consisting of two hydraulic pumps/motors (7,8) joined with this differential gear mechanism (4) and two synchromesh type intermittent power on-off making mechanism (14,15) for making intermittent on-off of high and low speed side transmis­sion system outputs.
    When an operation is made to the effect that connec­tion will be made to the high speed side synchromesh type intermittent power on-off mechanism (15) at the time when the high speed side rotational speed has approached the low speed side rotational speed under the state of the low speed side synchromesh type intermittent power on-off mechanism (14) only being connected, the high speed side will automatically be brought into the state of being connected.
    Thereafter by switching the low speed side synchro­mesh type intermittent power on-off making mechanism into (14) its non-connected state, switching from low to high speed mode may be made.
