The present invention relates to a bifunctional catalyst for a hydrodewaxing process with improved isomerization selectivity, and to a method for manufacturing the same, and more particularly to a bifunctional catalyst and to a method for manufacturing same, which is characterized in that EU-2 zeolite with a controlled degree of phase transformation is used as a catalyst support having an acid site. The EU-2 zeolite, the degree of phase transformation of which is controlled, includes, by controlling synthesis parameters of EU-2, predetermined amounts of materials that are phase-transformed from EU-2 crystals such as cristobalite and quartz. The metal-loaded bifunctional catalyst according to the present invention improves selectivity of the isomerization process, rather than a cracking reaction, during a hydroisomerization reaction of n-hexadecane. Therefore, the bifunctional catalyst can be widely used as a catalyst for a dewaxing process such as lubricant base oil and diesel oil.

Provided is a technology of converting an oil having a high content of Cl into a solvent. Impurities such as Cl, S, N, and metals are removed from an oil having a boiling point of 180 to 340°C in a waste oil having a high content of Cl, and hydroisomerization is carried out, thereby applying an oil having a high isoparaffin ratio as a solvent. An embodiment of the present invention is, through a process which, after a separation by boiling points according to the properties of the solvent product, a solid acid material and an oil having a high Cl content are mixed, impurities are removed by a heat treatment at a high temperature, and hydroisomerization is carried out by a noble metal/1-D zeolite catalyst, thereby manufacturing a solvent product. The solvent product manufactured by the present invention has a high n-paraffin content as compared with a common petroleum-based solvent and a low impurity content, thereby having high quality as a solvent, and also has a high isoparaffin ratio of 15 wt% or more, thereby having good low temperature properties. Since a waste oil, which, when discarded or burned, may be converted into greenhouse gas or hazardous gas such as SO x , NO x , and Cl-containing gases, is converted into an industrially widely used solvent, the present invention is preferred in terms of environment protection.

The zeolite catalyst has an adsorption volume ratio of lutidine to collidine measured by FTIR using lutidine and collidine as adsorbents of greater than 3 and less than or equal to 10. The present invention further provides a method of hydroisomerization for a feedstock, including subjecting the feedstock to a hydroisomerization reaction under conditions of a temperature of 200°C to 500°C, a hydrogen pressure of 1 to 200 atmospheres, a liquid space velocity (LHSV) of 1.0 to 10.0 hr -1 , and a hydrogen/feedstock ratio of 45 to 1780 Nm 3 /m 3 in the presence of the zeolite catalyst.
