Said device consists of a plurality of successive roll segments (8), a lower frame (11) and an upper frame (12) which can be adjusted in relation to each other, and paired piston-cylinder units (13). The measuring data of field appliances (14) is detected and processed in a decentralised manner. The aim of the invention is to simplify the field cabling and the regulation design. To this end, functions are displaced onto or close to the roll segments (8) by arranging the field appliances (14) against or on the roll segments (8) or in the vicinity of the roll segment (8) on the fixed stand (17), and the measuring signals thereof are processed and stored by means of axle regulators (18). According to the invention, in order to detect the measuring data locally on the continuous casting die (6) and enable local processing thereof, the respective hydraulic cylinder (16a) is connected to a valve stand (24) with a fixed terminal box (25) for the measuring signal and control signal lines (28) and the terminal box (25) is connected to an axis controller (30) enabling the field bus module (22) to guide the signals to a memory-programmable control unit (31).

Disclosed is a control and/or regulation device for an elevating platform (10) of a continuous casting machine (1) for liquid metals, especially liquid steel material (3), said platform (10) supporting a continuous casting die (5). The inventive control and/or regulation device comprises an oscillating drive mechanism (11) which is composed of several stationary piston-cylinder units (12) that are hingedly connected to the elevating platform (10). The control and/or regulation device further comprises surveying units (16) which are located on the hydraulic cylinder (12a) and whose signals are directed to the control and/or regulation stand (25) and back into the associated actuators via electrical connections. In order to be able to operate the disclosed control and/or regulation device in a decentralized manner while keeping the wiring effort low in spite of the large number of electrical connections (21), the electrical connections (21) are run as wire stacks (23) on one respective shaft regulator (31) in the vicinity (30) of the elevating platform (10), said shaft regulator (31) being connected, via a field bus (22), to a stored-program controller (32) that is located at a distance in the control and/or regulation stand (25).
