摘要： An illuminator (1) includes an illuminator frame (11) having a cut-out portion (11A) in which a light source unit (20) is removably positioned. The light source unit (20) includes a cold-lamp light source (22) supported in a plate-like member (23) of the unit's frame (21). The plate-like member (23) has extended portions (23A) which are also plate-like for fitting into guide slits (12D) formed in a light source unit supporting member (12) of the illuminator. The supporting member (12) has a retainer (12E) which helps hold the plate-like extensions (23A) of the plate-like member (23) of the light source unit. The illuminator includes a power supply linked with a connector (13) positioned so that when the light support unit (20) is inserted into the illluminator in its proper position, a connector provided on the light source unit will connect the light source to the power supply. Thus, the light source unit (20) can be removed from or inserted into the illuminator (1) in a single step process.
