    摘要: The present technique relates to a power supply device and method as well as a program which allow a billing process to be surely performed in charging a vehicle. When a vehicle ID registered in advance in an external storage 13 matches a vehicle ID acquired by a reader/writer 34, a control unit 101 controls a lock control part 101d to fit a lock 40c of an outlet 40 into a hole 55c in a projection 55b of a plug 55 and lock the connection between the outlet 40 and the plug 55. The control unit 101 in this state turns on a selector switch 37 to charge a battery 52 of an electric vehicle 12 from a charger 11. Once charging has been completed, the control unit 101 controls a billing part 101c to calculate the amount of electric power so that a billing server 14 performs a billing process for the amount of money corresponding to the amount of electric power. The control unit 101 controls the lock control part 101d to release the lock 40c after completing the billing process. The present technique can be applied to a power supply system.
