According to an embodiment disclosed herein, provided is a method of a terminal in a wireless communication system. The method of the terminal is characterized by comprising the steps of: acquiring information about at least one reference signal for beam failure detection; confirming, for each of a first reference signal set, a second reference signal set, and a third reference signal set included in the at least one reference signal, whether beam failure is detected; and when beam failure is detected for at least one of the first reference signal set, the second reference signal set, or the third reference signal set, transmitting beam failure recovery request information for the reference signal set for which beam failure was detected, wherein the first reference signal set corresponds to a first control resource set (CORESET) pool, the second reference signal set corresponds to a second CORESET pool, and the third reference signal set corresponds to a cell related to the first and second CORESET pools.
