A refrigerator includes a chilled air duct (10) and a sterilizer duct (60) independently installed in the vertical direction to uniformly emit active hydrogen and negative ions for sterilization and deodorization into an entire space of a compartment (4). The sterilizer duct (60) is vertically installed in the compartment (4) in parallel relation to the chilled air duct (10) and an MPI generator (40) for the sterilization and deodorization is installed in an end thereof. In the first embodiment of the present invention, the sterilizer duct (60) is coupled with a blower duct (70) in which a blower fan (75) for blowing air into the sterilizer duct (60), and the blower duct (70) may be coupled with a rotation duct (80) connected to a driving motor (91) installed in a housing (90). In the second embodiment, the sterilizer duct (20) and the chilled air duct (10) have a single entrance (20) and two exits (11,21) and may be coupled with respective exits of a distribution duct (30) in which a damper (50) is installed.
