摘要:
A method and system for releasing an Internet Protocol (IP) version 4 address using a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) release in a Proxy Mobile IP version 6 (PMIPv6) of a third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Evolved Packet Core (EPC). The method includes transmitting a DHCP release request from a Serving GateWay (SGW) to a Packet Data Network (PDN) GW, transmitting a binding revocation from the PDN GW to the SGW, acknowledging the binding revocation from the SGW to the PDN GW, and deleting the IP version 4 connection for an active PDN connection.
摘要:
A method for releasing an internet protocol (IP) address by a packet data network gateway (PGW) in a mobile communication system comprises allocating, by the PGW, an internet protocol version 4 (IPv4) address and an internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) address to a user equipment (UE) to activate a packet data network (PDN) connection between the UE and the PGW. Receiving, by the PGW, a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) release message from a serving gateway (SGW). Transmitting, by the PGW, to the SGW, a binding revocation message including information indicating release of the IPv4 address with the PDN connection between the UE and the PGW remaining active. Receiving, by the PGW, a binding revocation acknowledge message to acknowledge release of the IPv4 address from the SGW.

摘要:
A method for releasing an Internet Protocol Address (IP Address) by a packet data network gateway (PGW) in mobile network, comprises allocating an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address to a User Equipment (UE) to activate a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection between the UE and the PGW. If the UE release the IPv4 address, transmits to a serving gateway (SGW) a binding revocation message comprising an indication to release only the IPv4 address from the PDN connection to SGW. The SGW may release the IPv4 address; and a release of resources corresponding to the IPv4 address may be triggered.
