    摘要: A panoramic picture photographing method permits more accurate photographing of an image, particularly a panoramic image of a subject, without additional equipment, or separate devices and hardware. The method includes projecting an image, which is successively inputted in every predetermined unit of time, to an imaginary surface having a same focal distance in photographing each image constituting a panoramic picture to obtain a projected image; confirming movement of a corresponding photographing apparatus so that the projected image is compared with a previous image in real time by using a motion estimation technique, to which exposure correction has been applied; determining a photographing time point of each image by confirming the confirmed movement of the corresponding photographing apparatus according to a photographing direction has reached a predetermined critical value; and photographing each image at the photographing time point of each image according to a passive input or automatically.

    摘要: An apparatus and method of controlling a mobile terminal by detecting a face or an eye in an input image are provided. The method includes performing face recognition on an input image facing and being captured by an image input unit equipped on the front face of the mobile terminal; determining, based on the face recognition, user state information that includes whether a user exists, a direction of the user's face, a distance from the mobile terminal, and/or a position of the user's face; and performing a predetermined function of the mobile terminal according to the user state information. According to the method, functions of the mobile terminal may be controlled without direct inputs from the user.

    摘要: A facial image registration apparatus and method are provided for registering a plurality of facial images to be used for face recognition. A plurality of facial images are detected and sorted from a plurality of captured images input from a camera unit at the request of a user. A face feature value is calculated for each of the facial images. The face feature value is a score that is applied according to face features of each of the facial images. Facial images selected according to the calculated face feature values are registered as target facial images to be used for face recognition. As such, various facial images may be registered at a user's single request, thus improving a face recognition rate.

    摘要: A method and portable terminal are provided for correcting a gaze direction of a user in an image. A face of the user is detected in the image. Contour points of an eye area are detected in the detected face. The contour points of the detected eye area in the image are changed to contour points that correspond to a gaze direction toward a reference camera. The gaze direction of the user in the image is corrected by transforming the eye area according to the changed contour points.
