Abstract: A method for controlling a vehicle based on a driver status isdisclosed. The vehicle includes various sensing devices (including a camera, a vehicle dynamics sensor, a vehicle around view monitoring (AVM) camera, a periphery surveillance sensor, and a navigation device) and an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU may analyze a driver status through the driver's face and pupils recognized by output signals of the sensing devices. If the driver has no intention to drive the vehicle, the ECU may control the vehicle to stop on a road shoulder, resulting in guarantee of safer driving.

Abstract: A programmable display device (300) connectable to a programmable logic controller (100) in a communicable manner includes a sightline estimate unit (356), which estimates a direction of a sightline using image data obtained by capturing an image of a person, a display control unit (355), which displays a screen including an object on a display, a measurement unit (358), which measures a time period for which the sightline is directed to the object when the sightline is determined to be directed to the object through the estimation, and a storage unit (350), which stores image identification information identifying the object and time information indicating the measured time period in association with each other. This allows a third person to determine a time period for which a user has gazed at an object.

Abstract: This invention provides a dosage form dispenser, comprising a casing comprising a first portion adapted for insertion within an oral cavity of a subject and a second portion adapted to encase a dosage form dispensing mechanism located therewithin; at least one camera positioned on said second portion of said casing, further positioned to capture a field of view of a portion of a face of a subject, wherein said field of view comprises at least a portion of a base view of the nose of said subject; a dosage form dispensing mechanism; a microprocessor and associated memory for processing and storing user authentication information, comparing images relayed from said at least one camera to at least one stored user standard and providing authentication when a match is established; and an interface connected to said dispensing mechanism, which promotes dispensing said dosage form when said authentication has been obtained. Methods for dispensing a dosage form directly within an oral cavity of a subject in need thereof, using the dispensers are also described.
