In the invention the swing cylinder (6) is coupled at an angle ( alpha ), relative to the longitudinal axis of the boom (2), from the frame (1) to the end of the boom (2) vertically downward so that with the boom (2) in the middle of its upper and lower angles of altitude, the swing cylinder (6) is essentially horizontal.

摘要： An arrangement for limiting the swing angle of a boom (1) for a rock drilling unit when the boom (1) is being lifted and lowered. In the arrangement, a control member (12) is coupled to the boom (1), turning therewith, said member comprising a slot (13) having a movable dowel pin (14). The dowel pin (14) is coupled to control a relief valve (16) so that when the boom (1) is being lifted or lowered, and when it tends to turn outside the widest permissible swing angle, the control member controls the relief valve (16) so that it lets hydraulic fluid into the swing cylinder (4) for turning the boom to a reverse direction.

摘要： A method and an equipment for controlling the operation of a rock drilling apparatus, which rock drilling apparatus (1) comprises a percussion device (4) for producing impact energy to a tool of the rock drilling apparatus (1), a rotating device (5) for rotating the tool (7) in a drill hole, a feeding device (9) for feeding the tool (7) in the drill hole and a flushing device (11) for supplying flushing agent through the toool (7) and the bit (8) for flushing loose drilling waste from the hole. The feed force (FF) and the percussion power (PP) are determined and the relation between the feed force (FF) and the percussion power (PP) is adjusted to a targeted operation area within an upper and a lower limit.

摘要： An arrangement in a boom for a rock drilling unit, comprising a boom (1), pivotally connected to a frame (2) about a shaft (3), a lift cylinder (4) between the boom (1) and the frame (2), at the other end of the boom a feed beam pivotally connected about a shaft, parallel to the shaft (3), and a swing cylinder (10) between the feed beam and the boom. In the arrangement the lift cylinder (4) comprises three cylinder spaces, of which the first and second cylinder space (13a, 13b) may be connected to a hydraulic fluid supply for lifting or lowering the boom. The third cylinder space (13c) is inside a hollow piston rod (4b) and the cylinder comprises a fixed servo piston (4c) extending inside the piston rod. The third cylinder space (13c) is connected to the swing cylinder (10), to its first cylinder space (18a) and the second cylinder space (18b) of the swing cylinder (10) is connectable to a hydraulic fluid supply or receiver simultaneously with the first cylinder space (13a) of the lift cylinder.
