摘要:
A system and methods of its use are described. The system includes a well tool configured to be positioned within a wellbore. The system includes a sleeve defining an inner volume. The sleeve is configured to secure at least a portion of the well tool within the inner volume while the well tool is positioned within the wellbore. The system includes a hollow member positioned within the inner volume and coupled to the well tool. The system includes a rod positioned within the inner volume and coupled to the sleeve. The rod passes through the hollow member to couple to the sleeve. The rod is configured to move the sleeve relative to the well tool in response to a pressure applied on the rod. The hollow member defines a seat configured to receive the rod to restrict movement of the sleeve relative to the well tool.

Embodiments of systems and methods for characterizing multiphase flow (MPF) of fluid and enhancing measuring and monitoring of a full range of water cut in a portion of a pipe for oil-related operations are provided. An embodiment of a system can include a flow director to direct the MPF between paired wide-band near-infrared (NIR) emitters and detectors electrically coupled to signal conditioning, processing, and characterizing modules to determine absorption and scattering of MPF and define and display MPF characteristics for measuring and monitoring in oil-related operations.
摘要:
Systems, computer-implemented methods, and non-transitory computer-readable medium having a stored computer program provide characterization of multiphase fluid flow (MPF) using approximate entropy calculation techniques to enhance measuring and monitoring of a flow regime in a segment of pipe for hydrocarbon-production operations. The systems and methods can be optimized using principal component analysis.

Disclosed are systems, methods, and apparatuses to detect one or more downhole laterals in a wellbore using electromagnetic sensors. Certain embodiments include a subsurface unit including a ruggedized encapsulation resistant to heat, pressure, and variations in pH. The systems and apparatuses are communicable with surface controls.
