    摘要: The invention relates to a clamping device (9, 30) for a steering column (1), in which a first clamping plate element (10, 31) can be twisted relative to a second clamping plate element (11, 37) between a releasing position and a clamping position. A rolling member (14, 33) is provided in a contacting manner between the clamping plate elements (10, 31, 11, 37). The second clamping plate element (11, 37) comprises a clamping ramp having a contour for the rolling member (14, 33) such that a distance between the clamping plate elements changes when said claming plate elements (10, 31, 11, 37) are twisted relative to each other. One clamping plate element (10, 31) is provided with a surface that embodies a plane on which the rolling member (14, 33) rolls from the releasing position into the clamping position.
