    摘要: Disclosed is a magenta ink composition suitable for an inkjet recording method, that has excellent print quality, has excellent fastness of the colorant on printed matter, enables inkjet recorded matter with excellent resistance to moisture, ozone, and light to be obtained, and has stable ejection reliability wherein foaming is suppressed. The magenta ink composition contains, as a colorant, at least one type of compound represented by Formula (I) below and at least one type of compound represented by Formula (II) below:

    (wherein R 1 -R 5 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a sulfo group or a salt thereof; and X, Y, and Z independently represent an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group);

    (wherein M represents a hydrogen atom, ammonium group, or alkali metal atom; X represents a diaminoalkylene group; and n represents either 1 or 2).
