摘要： The disclosure relates to a composition for well cementing in a subterranean formation comprising a pumpable slurry of cement, water and at least one additive that swells in contact with underground fluid (hydrocarbon, water or brines and mixtures thereof ) in case of failure of the cement matrix and to a method of cementing a well using said composition. The swelling additive is an elastomer compounded with an aqueous inverse emulsion of particles of a polymer comprising a betaine group.

摘要： A subterranean well cementing slurry is prepared by coating particles of an expanding agent with silica, and combining the coated particles with water and hydraulic cement in any order. The slurry is placed around a tubular member in an annular region in the well where it is allowed to set and harden, and at least some of the expansion is delayed until after the cement is at least partially set.
