    摘要: An antenna system comprises a reflector which is a part of a paraboloid of revolution or parabolic cylinder, a primary radiator for clockwise circulatory polarized wave, and a primary radiator for counterclockwise circularly polarized wave. The reflector is of geometrically asymmetrical shape to effect different reflection properties for clockwise and counterclockwise circular polarizations. The primary radiators are fixed at two different positions in the vicinity of the focus of the paraboloid reflector.

    摘要: An improved filter for use in a CDMA receiver having an RF front end (12) for splitting a received signal (32) into I and Q components (36, 38), A/D converters (14a, 14b) for converting the I and Q components (36, 38) into I and Q digital components (36D, 38D), a control processor (26) for controlling the receiver, a system clock and a power supply, the improved filter including a matched filtering mechanism (60, 100, 120), wherein each filter includes: a separation mechanism to separate a digital I signal (36D) and a digital Q signal (38D) into MSB and LSB signal components (36DM, 36DL); a MSB sub-portion (62) having multiple MSB delay elements (66, 68, 70, 72, 74), a multiplier (76) associated with each delay element (66, 68, 70, 72, 74), and a MSB adder (78) for processing said MSB signal components; a LSB sub-portion (64) having multiple LSB delay elements (80, 82, 84, 86, 88), a multiplier (90) associated with each delay element (80, 82, 84, 86, 88), and a LSB adder (92) for processing said LSB signal components, wherein said LSB sub-portion (64) has fewer delay elements than said MSB sub-portion (62); a third adder (96) for adding said processed MSB and LSB signal components (36DM, 36DL) to provide a filter output; and a half clock generator (94) for supplying a half-clock signal to said LSB portion. A method of filtering a digital signal in a CDMA receiver includes dividing a digitized signal into MSB and LSB components; processing the MSB components with a first predetermined number of delay and multiplication operatives (76); and processing the LSB components with a second predetermined number of delay and multiplication operative (90), wherein the second predetermined number is less than the first predetermined number.

    摘要: A wideband receiver automatic frequency control (AFC) system which combines multipath or diverse antenna signals, before the carrier frequency error is determined, is provided herein. Rather than independently calculating the frequency error of each transmission path, frequency error is calculated after the multipath signals are summed together. Thus, only a single frequency detector circuit is required. The resulting automatic frequency control system has the accuracy of a system which combines the independently calculated frequency errors, with fewer steps of computation required. A method for combining multipath signals to calculate an average AFC frequency error is also provided.
