摘要: A remote-access device typically used for tagging items, a reader device for the same, system and methods of such devices. The remote-access device has an advanced capability that the device is able to signal by an advanced capability code. The device or the system may carry advanced capability data that can be used to utilize or enhance the advanced capability. The advanced capability data may be stored at the remote-access device, at the reader or in the system at a computer. The results of the advanced functionality may be logged onto a database or they may be stored back to the remote-access device. The advanced capability code, data and results may be stored onto the remote-access device in protected form, and the access key may be derived from identification information on the remote-access device.

摘要: A method for monitoring condition of a building structure (350, 380, 390) comprises: - determining first temperature information (T1, TINF1) from first temperature data (TDATA1 ) obtained from a first temperature sensor (100a), - determining reference temperature information (T1,REF,TREF1 ) by using second temperature data (TDATA2) obtained from a second temperature sensor (100b), and - comparing the first temperature information (T1,TINF1) with the reference temperature information (T1,REF,TREF1) in order to detect an abnormal condition of the structure (350, 380, 390), wherein the first sensor (100a, 100b) is positioned within the structure (350, 380, 390) such that a first distance (z1) between the first temperature sensor (100a) and an inner surface (INSRF) of the structure (350, 380, 390) is different from a second distance (z2) between the second temperature sensor (100b) and the inner surface (INSRF), wherein the first temperature sensor (100a) is an RFID transponder arranged to transmit the first temperature data (TDATA1), and wherein the first temperature sensor (100a) is arranged to extract operating energy from a radio frequency field (ROG).
