A rubber composition which can be used in the production of pneumatic tyres, comprising at least: i) one diene elastomer; ii) one white filler as a reinforcing filler and iii) a coupling agent (white filler/elastomer), characterised in that said white filler is made of or partially made of titanium oxide having the following characteristics: a) the specific BET surface thereof is between 20 and 200 m2/g; b) the average (mass) size of particles, noted as d¿w?, is 20 - 400 nm; c) the deagglomeration speed thereof, noted as α, measured in the ultrasound deagglomeration test at 100 % rating of a 600 W ultrasonic probe, is more than 2.10?-2 νm1¿/s. The inventive rubber composition can be used in the production of rubber articles, especially pneumatic tyres or semi-finished rubber products for said pneumatic tyres. Said composition is more specifically designed for use in the production of coloured pneumatic tyres or coloured semi-finished goods such as the treads or side walls of pneumatic tyres.

The invention is characterised in that said function Y is a hydroxysilyl function ( Si-OH). Preferably, said organosilane is a hydroxysilane polysulphide, the diene elastomer is selected in the group consisting of polybutadienes, natural rubber, synthetic polyisoprenes, butadiene copolymers, isoprene copolymers, and the reinforcing inorganic filler is a highly dispersible silicious or aluminous filler. The invention relates to a sulphur-vulcanisable rubber composition which can be used for producing tyres and which is based on at least: (A) a dienic elastomer chosen from the group consisting of polybutadienes, natural rubber, synthesis polyisoprenes, butadiene copolymers, isoprene copolymers and mixtures of these elastomers (component A); (B) a reinforcing white filler (component B); (C) a coupling agent (white filler/dienic elastomer) with at least one activated ethylenic double bond (component C), combined with: (D) between 0.05 and 1 pce (parts by weight per cent elastomer) of a heat-initiated radical starter (component D). The coupling agent is especially an alkoxysilane from the group of alkoxy(C1-C4)-silylpropyls, especially a trialkoxy(C1-C4)-silylpropyl methacrylate, particularly trimethoxy-silylpropyl methacrylate. The invention also relates to a method for producing a rubber composition of this type and to a tyre or a semi-finished product, especially for a tread, for a tyre comprising the inventive composition.

The invention concerns a (metal/rubber) composite comprising a rubber matrix reinforced with a metal body adhering to the rubber matrix via an adhesive intermediate phase; the rubber matrix is based on diene elastomer; the metal is carbon steel whereof the carbon content ranges between 0.35 % and 1.2 %; to constitute the adhesive intermediate phase, the steel carbon is coated with a metal layer bearing aluminium oxides-hydroxides, itself coated with an organosilane film providing, as coupling agent, the bond between the aluminium oxides-hydroxides and the rubber matrix. The invention also concerns articles or semi-finished products made of rubber reinforced with or consisting of said composite, in particular tyres.

Said POS is in particular a POS with imide, acid or ester function, whereof the double ethylene bond is activated by at least an adjacent carbonyl group (>C=O).
