摘要： A filling machine capable of matching fold lines (m1, m2) preformed on a packing material (11) with actual fold lines (n1, n2) and improving the appearance of a package container (15), comprising a light source (21) for irradiating with light a portion containing at least an overlap portion (S2) out of the outer peripheral surface of a packing material tube (41) provided with the overlap portion (S2), a photodetector for receiving light generated by the light source (21) and reflected off the outer peripheral surface of the packing material tube (41) to generate a sensor output, and an overlap portion detecting/processing means (28) for detecting the overlap portion (S2) by using a peak in the sensor output; a peak is formed in the sensor output of the photodetector because a portion of light reflected off the end of the packing material (11) out of light reflected off the outer peripheral surface of the tube (41) is larger in intensity and therefore a point at which a peak is formed in the sensor output is detected as the overlap portion (S2).

摘要： A linear drive apparatus (10) for moving a carton (175) in a packaging machine from a first position to a second position is set forth. A first drive belt (115) is connected to a drive roller (75) and disposed about the drive roller (75) in a clockwise direction at a first end thereof while a second end of the first drive belt (115) is connected to a first position of an engagement assembly (15). A second drive belt (95) is connected to the drive roller (75) and disposed about the drive roller (75) in a counter-clockwise direction at a first end thereof while a second end of the second drive belt (59) is connected to a second portion of the engagement assembly (15) opposite the first portion of the engagement assembly (15). The rotation of a drive shaft (80) in a clockwise direction causes linear movement of the engagement assembly (15) in a first direction along the guide rods (50) and the rotation of the drive shaft (80) in a counter-clockwise direction causes linear movement of the engagement assembly (15) in a second direction opposite the first direction.

摘要： A filler capable of surely correcting the position of an overlapped portion, comprising a forming ring disposed at a specified position in the carrying direction of packaging material (11) to form web-like packaging material (11) in a tube shape by deforming and having a plurality of forming rollers and a vertical sealing device (41) for sealing both edges of the tube-like packaging material (11) in vertical direction, one of the forming rollers further comprising flanges (71, 84) axially moved by a moving mechanism part (72), whereby, even if the edge part of the packaging material (11) comes into contact with the flanges (71, 84) depending on the dimensions of the packaging material (11) in the forming ring, the position of the overlapped portion (LP) can be surely corrected since the flanges (71, 84) are moved to prevent the correction of the position of the overlapped portion (LP) from being interfered.
