摘要:
A process is disclosed for treating a charge hydrocarbon oil containing undesired aromatic components, sulphur and nitrogen compounds. The process comprises: maintaining a bed of a sulphided catalyst on an activated carbon support; passing a charge hydrocarbon feed in the presence of a gas selected from pure hydrogen and a gas mixture comprising greater than 60% by volume pure hydrogen into contact with said catalyst at hydrotreating conditions in order to effect hydrodearomatisation, hydrodesulphurisation and hydrodenitrogenation of the charge hydrocarbon feed; forming a product stream of hydrocarbon containing a lesser quantity of undesired aromatic components, sulphur and nitrogen, and recovering said product stream. The process is characterised in that the sulphided catalyst comprises 0.1 to 15% by weight of nickel, from 1 to 50% by weight of tungsten and 0.01 to 10% by weight of phosphorus, and in that the activated carbon support has a BET surface area of 600 to 2000m/g, a pore volume for nitrogen of at least 0.3 cc/g and an average pore diameter of 12 to 100Å.

Hydrodesulfurization of cracked naphtha, with minimum attendant hydrogenation of olefins, is effected over a sulfided carbon support catalyst bearing (i) a non-noble Group VIII metal, (ii) a Group VI-B metal, and (iii) a metal of Group IA, II A, III A, or the lanthanide Group of rare earths.

A process for treating a charge hydrocarbon feed containing undesired aromatics, sulphur and nitrogen comprises: maintaining a sulphided catalyst bed comprising 0.1-15% by weight of one or more Group VIII metals selected from nickel, cobalt and iron; from 1-50% by weight of tungsten and/or from 1-20% by weight of molybdenum or chromium, and 0.01-10% by weight of zinc, on an activated carbon support, said support having a B.E.T. surface area of at least 600 m 2 /g, a pore volume of at least 0.3 cm 3 /g and an average pore diameter of at least 12 Angstroms; passing a charge hydrocarbon feed in the presence of a gas comprising greater than 60% by volume pure hydrogen into contact with said catalyst under hydrotreating conditions, thereby effecting hydrogenation, hydrodearomatisation, hydrodesulphurisation and hydrodenitrogenation of said feed and forming a hydrocarbon product stream containing a lesser concentration of undesired aromatics, sulphur and nitrogen, and recovering said product stream.

A process is disclosed for treating a charge hydrocarbon such as a naphtha or middle distillate hydrocarbon containing undesired aromatic components, sulphur and nitrogen compounds. The process comprises: maintaining a bed of metal sulphide catalyst comprising a non-noble metal of Group VIII and a metal of Group VIA on a carbon support; passing a charge hydrocarbon feed in the presence of hydrogen into contact with said metal sulphide catalyst at hydrotreating conditions in order to effect hydrodearomatisation, hydrodesulphurisation and hydrodenitrogenation of said charge hydrocarbon containing undesired aromatic components, sulphur and nitrogen compounds; forming a product stream of hydrocarbon containing lesser quantities of undesired aromatic components, sulphur and nitrogen, and recovering said product stream. The process is characterised in that the carbon support is a phosphorus-treated carbon support prepared by heat treating mixtures of activated carbon and phosphorus compounds at temperatures greater than 450°C. It is further characterised in that the phosphorus in the phosphorus-treated carbon support exists predominantly as polyphosphate species bound to the carbon surface, being characterised by peaks between -5 and -30 ppm in the solid-state magic angle spinning ³¹P nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum.
