摘要： Sheet materials suitable for use as a floor, wall or ceiling covering material are described which comprise (1) a polymer mixture having (A) at least one homogeneously branched ethylene Polymer (A) having a molecular weight distribution, Mw/Mn, less than 3 and a short chain branching distribution index (SCBDI) equal to or greater than 50 percent obtainable by polymerization of ethylene with at least one C3-C20 α-olefin in the presence of a single site or constrained geometry catalyst; (B) at least one ethylene Polymer (B) having a density at least 0.005 g/cm3 greater than the density of ethylene Polymer (A) and a TREF elution temperature at least 5 °C greater than the TREF elution temperature of ethylene Polymer (A) and, optionally, (C) at least one ethylene Polymer (C) having a density at least 0.005 g/cm greater than the density of ethylene Polymer (B) and a TREF elution temperature at least 5 °C greater than the TREF elution temperature of ethylene Polymer (B), and (2) optionally a filler at least partially dispersed with a compatibilizer in the polymer mixture, and when less than 10 wt.% filler is dispersed in the polymer mixture, then the melt index of Polymer (A) is preferably less than or equal to 1.5g/10 min., the melt index ratio of Polymer (B) to polymer (A) is preferably less than or equal to 5.0, and/or Polymer (B) is preferably a homogeneously branched ethylene polymer. Floor, wall and ceiling covering materials and processes for making them according to this invention are also described.

摘要： A multilayer structure comprising (A) a fabric and (B) a polymeric layer comprising a substantially random interpolymer comprising in polymerized form i) one or more α-olefin monomers and ii) one or more vinyl or vinylidene aromatic monomers and/or one or more sterically hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinyl or vinylidene monomers, and optionally iii) other polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer(s); layer (B) being free from a substantial amount of tackifier. The multilayer structure has desirable haptics and surprisingly good drape properties. It is useful in many applications, for example as water-impermeable clothes, tablecloths, tents, water-impermeable covers, curtains, artificial leather or upholstery.

摘要： The present invention relates to an ethylene homo or copolymer having a density of between 0.923 and 0.935 g/cm3, having a molecular weight distribution M¿w?/Mn of between 3 and 10, and comprising from 0.10 to 0.50 wt. percent of units derived from a carbonyl group containing compound, based on the total weight of the homo or copolymer. In addition, the invention relates to a free radical initiation polymerization process for the preparation of medium density ethylene polymers or copolymers, comprising reacting ethylene and optionally one or more comonomers at a high pressure, conveniently between 1600 and 4000 kg/cm?2¿, and at temperatures of about 150-330 °C in a reactor system consisting of at least one autoclave reactor or of a combination of autoclave and tubular reactors, in the presence of free radical initiators and a carbonyl group containing compound. Finally, the invention relates to carbonyl group containing chain transfer agents to obtain improved polymer processing and performance properties in flat die extrusion processes and applications.

摘要： Disclosed are resin compositions comprising: a homogeneous ethylene/ alpha -olefin interpolymer; and a saturated fatty acid amide or saturated ethylenebis(amide); and an unsaturated fatty acid amide or unsaturated ethylenebis(amide); and a finely divided inorganic compound. Also disclosed are compositions comprising a saturated fatty acid amide or saturated ethylenebis(amide), an unsaturated fatty acid amide or unsaturated ethylenebis(amide), and a finely divided inorganic compound and a substantially random interpolymer of one or more alpha -olefins with one or more vinylidene aromatic monomers and/or one or more hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinylidene monomers or blend compositions therefrom. Also disclosed are compositions which comprise at least one homogeneous ethylene/ alpha -olefin interpolymer or substantially random interpolymer of one or more alpha -olefins with one or more vinylidene aromatic monomers and/or or more hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinylidene monomers, at least one slip agent, and at least one modifying agent comprising propylene homopolymers, propylene copolymers, nucleating agents, and mixtures thereof.
