The present invention relates to a textile enhancement composition comprising: a) from about 0.05% by weight, of a softening compound having a transition temperature of less than 30 °C; b) otpionally less than about 25 % by weight, of a principal solvent, preferably said principal solvent has a ClogP of from about 0.15 to about 1; c) optionally from about 0.001 % to about 90 % by weight, of one or more dye fixing agents; d) optionally about 0.005 % to about 1 % by weight, of one or more crystal growth inhibitors; e) optionnally from about 0.01 % to about 8 % by weight, of a polyolefin emulsion or suspension; f) optionally from about 0.01 % to about 0.2 % by weight, of a stabilizer; g) optionally from about 0.5 % to about 5 % by weight, of a cationic surfactant; and h) the balance being a liquid carrier and optional adjunct ingredients. The textile enhancement dispersion compositions are suitable for use in an industrial textile manufacturing process, in particular at any point during the manufacture and fabrication process including after fashioning fabric into an article of manufacture, preferably an article of apparel.

According to the present invention there is provided a cosmetic composition comprising: (a) at least one quaternary ammonium agent; (b) emollient; and (c) polar solvent; wherein the composition comprises vesicles, said vesicles comprising quaternary ammonium agent and emollient. The compositions of the present invention give good skin care benefits, such as good skin feel, good skin softness and/or good skin smoothness, with low levels of negatives such as greasiness, stickiness or tack.

Biodegradable fabric softener premix compositions are described containing (1) biodegradable softener actives; optional low molecular weight solvent; (2) high boiling, water soluble solvent to lower the viscosity, while avoiding flammability; and (3) optional perfume. The premixes can be added at ambient temperatures to water containing acid, to provide a pH of from about 1.5 to about 5, to form finished compositions. The water can also contain calcium and/or magnesium salt to modify the viscosity. Compositions containing highly unsaturated softener actives have improved freeze/thaw properties.

Clear or translucent rinse-added fabric softening compositions are provided via the present invention which have reduced solvent or solvatrope levels. The composition according to the invention comprise: a) a fabric softening active; b) a principal solvent; c) a principal solvent extender; and d) the balance carriers and adjunct ingredients. Preferred enbodiments include low perfume level formulations. A preferred class of principal solvent extenders includes hydrophobic oils that aids in fluidizing the system which is characterized by a freezing point of less than 22 °C for in a mixture of the principle solvent extender and 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol (20 %/80 % by wt.). These principal solvent extenders include materials such as benzyl benzoate, methyl esters derived from canola oil, and mixtures thereof. Alternatively, the preferred principal solvent extenders include cumene sulfonates, xylene sulfonates, toluene sulfonates, C6-C14 sulfonates and sulfates, and mixtures thereof.
