Preferably, each of the corrugation lines of is connected to at least one neighboring corrugation line by at least one primary bonding pattern line.The primary bonding pattern can comprise first and second primary bonding pattern lines, which can define circumscribed regions, which are unbonded by the primary bonding pattern. The primary bonding pattern lines can be continuous lines, preferably straight lines, and it can consist of a secondary bonding pattern consisting of a plurality of bonding points. The corrugated web according preferably exhibits a low pressure loft of at least 18 [µm/(g/m 2 )]. The present invention further relates to an absorbent article comprising a self-bonded web as well as to a method for making such a self-bonded corrugated web.
