摘要： A current injection diamond ultraviolet light emitting device comprising a high-quality diamond crystal and electrodes formed thereon, wherein carriers are injected by applying a dc voltage between the electrodes to cause light emmission by recombination of diamond free excitons. The diamond crystal is selected considering the photoluminescence spectrum and the half width of the Raman scattering peak inherent in diamond.
