Specifically, the present invention is: an organic semiconductor composition including as an additive a compound in which one or two aromatic rings are substituted with a predetermined number of alkyl groups, alkoxy groups, alkanoyl groups, or thioalkyl groups; and a method for manufacturing a photovoltaic element which uses the composition.

There is provided a photovoltaic element having excellent durability owing to an electron extraction layer in which an inorganic compound and an electron-donating group are more firmly bonded to each other, and including at least a cathode, an electron extraction layer, an photoelectric conversion layer and an anode in this order, the electron extraction layer containing an inorganic compound (A), and an organic compound (B) having an electron-donating group and a bonding group, the electron extraction layer having an inorganic/organic hybrid structure in which the inorganic compound (A) and at least a part of the organic compound (B) are bonded to each other via the bonding group.
