The present invention provides a transparent conductive thin film which is flexible for suiting substantially all kinds of electronic and optoelectronic devices or display panel. The present conductive thin film includes at least one transparent substrate, a deformable layer and a conductive network pattern having a high aspect ratio such that at least one surface of the conductive network being exposed out of the deformable layer or the transparent substrate for contacting with an external structure while a large proportion thereof stays firmly integrated into the substrate. The present invention also relates to methods of fabricating a transparent conductive thin film including the structural features of the transparent conductive thin film of the present invention. Various optimizations of the present methods are also provided in the present invention for facilitating large area thin film fabrication and large scale production.

A graphene nanoribbon has a chiral edge to which a dicarbimide (10b) structure is bonded. The dicarbimide structure is an electron-withdrawing group. The width and band gap of the graphene nanoribbon are controlled by a precursor molecule (10A Fig. 1A) used for a polymerization reaction (Fig. 1B). Furthermore, n-type operation of the graphene nanoribbon is realized by the dicarbimide structure (10b). In addition, with the graphene nanoribbon, an increase in ribbon length and suppression of a polymerization defect by the stabilization of a reaction intermediate of the precursor molecule, as well as improvement in orientation are realized by the dicarbimide structure.

A photoelectric conversion element and photoelectric conversion apparatus, which are upgraded more in both of the current intensity and response speed than those of the conventional predecessors, are provided. A photoelectric conversion element 10 includes : a pair of electrodes including a first electrode 11 and a second electrode 15; a first insulator 12 having a first capacitance "C1," and disposed to make contact with the first electrode 11; a second insulator 14 having a second capacitance "C2," which is smaller than the first capacitance "C1" of the first insulator 12, and disposed to make contact with the second electrode 15; and an organic semiconductor 13 receiving a light to generate an electromotive force, and interposed between the first insulator 12 the second insulator 14 to make contact with them. The first insulator 12 having the larger capacitance "C1" enlarges a polarization current by inducing the intermediate layer of the organic semiconductor 13 to polarize. The second insulator 14 having the smaller capacitance "C2" enhances the photoelectric conversion element 10 in the response characteristics. Hence, the photoelectric conversion element 10 is upgraded more in both of the current intensity and response speed than those of the conventional predecessors.
