摘要: Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst in which exhaust gas can be purified more effectively in regard to carbon monoxide, even when an engine is started up, or under other low-temperature conditions. This exhaust gas purification catalyst has a substrate (10), an oxidation catalyst layer (20) arranged on the substrate, and an adsorption layer (30) arranged on the oxidation catalyst layer. The oxidation catalyst layer has support particles and a noble metal supported by the support particles, the density of the noble metal supported in the oxidation catalyst layer being greater than the density of the noble metal supported in the adsorption layer. The adsorption layer has hydrocarbon adsorbent particles, the hydrocarbon adsorbent particle content of the adsorption layer being higher than the hydrocarbon adsorbent particle content of the oxidation catalyst layer.
