    摘要: A steer-by-wire steering system for a vehicle, including: an operating member (20) operable by a driver; a dual-system steering device (14, 14a, 14b) including two systems each of which includes an electric motor (50, 50a, 50b) as a drive source, the steering device (14, 14a, 14b) being configured to steer a wheel (10); and a controller (62, 62a, 62b) configured to control a current to be supplied to each of the electric motors (50, 50a, 50b) of the respective two systems so as to cause the steering device (14, 14a, 14b) to steer the wheel (10) in accordance with an operation of the operating member (20), wherein the controller (62, 62a, 62b) is configured to prohibit the current greater than an upper limit value from being supplied to the electric motors (50, 50a, 50b) of the respective two systems, and wherein, when the wheel (10) is steered by only one of the two systems, the controller (62, 62a, 62b) raises the upper limit value of the current to be supplied to the electric motor (50, 50a, 50b) of the one of the two systems.
