Disclosed is a thin film-like polymer structure which is obtained by the steps described below and has a functional substance on the front surface (surface A) and the back surface (surface B). Also disclosed is a method for preparing such a thin film-like polymer structure. (a) a step wherein polyfunctional molecules are adsorbed on an arbitrarily shaped region at the interface of a base with a liquid phase (b) a step wherein a polymer thin film is formed by polymerizing and/or crosslinking the adsorbed polyfunctional molecules (c) a step wherein a functional substance is bonded onto the surface A of the thus-formed thin film (d) a step wherein a soluble supporting film is formed on the thin film, and then the thin film and the supporting film are removed from the base (e) a step wherein a functional substance is bonded onto the surface B of the thin film, and then the supporting film is dissolved by a solvent.
