摘要: According to one aspect of the teachings herein, a base station (20), wireless device (12), or other network node (36), determines composite dynamic subframe, CDS, information for a Time Division Duplex, TDD, carrier frequency used for transmitting one or more TDD carriers (22) of interest, from respective cells (18) in a wireless communication network (10). The CDS information identifies or otherwise indicates that one or more subframes in one or more of the TDD carriers (22) are dynamic subframes having a dynamically changeable uplink or downlink direction. The measurement configuration of the wireless device (12) is adapted according to the CDS information, so that radio measurements performed by the device (12) with respect to the one or more TDD carriers (22) accounts for the dynamic subframes, e.g., by avoiding measurements on the dynamic subframes, increasing the number of measurements made, or increasing the measurement intervals.

摘要: Systems and methods related to effective measurements in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, a network node obtains a reference measurement performed by a measuring node, where the reference measurement contains one or more interference components. The reference measurement may be, for instance, a reference signal quality measurement or a reference signal power measurement. The network node then mitigates at least one of the interference components contained in the reference measurement to thereby provide an effective measurement for the measuring node. In one embodiment, the network node mitigates the at least one interference component by obtaining a compensation value for mitigating the at least one interference component and applying the compensation value to the reference measurement to thereby provide the effective measurement.

摘要: Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a network node (401A, 401B) (e.g., a source or target base station), and corresponding method therein, for managing a user equipment time offset measurement by accounting for a user equipment mobility profile. The management may involve a source network node (401A) delaying or preventing the sending of a user equipment timing offset measurement to a target network node (401B) or sending an indication or a reliability of the user equipment timing offset measurement. The network node (401A, 401B) may further apply a compensation to the user equipment timing offset measurement to account for an expected behavior of the user equipment based on the mobility profile. The network node (401A, 401B) may also adapt an uplink search window based on the user equipment mobility profile.

摘要: A method for a user equipment, UE, and apparatus in a wireless communication system supporting carrier aggregation are provided. The UE includes a radio entity on which at least one component carrier is served by a network node. The method includes the steps of receiving a first indication from the network node for updating the at least one component carrier having an order which requires a retuning the radio entity and receiving at least a second indication for updating the at least one component carrier having an order which requires a retuning the radio entity. Further the method includes the steps of combining all orders to reduce the retuning steps of the radio entity and retuning the radio entity in accordance with the combined orders.

摘要: Several advanced features in wireless network, such as multi-carrier operation, multi-RAT/multi-mode transmission, etc., may not be exploited to their fullest potential when uplink transmit diversity is used in conjunction with them. Several techniques described herein address these problems. An example method begins with the evaluation (610) of operating conditions for a mobile terminal transmitter and, based on the operating conditions, selectively activating or deactivating(620) multiple-antenna transmission by the mobile terminal. The operating conditions that are evaluated include,in some embodiments, the applicability of power backoff (maximum power reduction, or "MPR"), including whether Additional MPR (A-MPR) or power management MPR (P-MPR) are applicable. Other operating conditions that are evaluated may include uplink data rate requirements or limitations for the mobile terminal, and/or the actual or estimated status of the battery in the UE.
