    摘要: Acknowledgment signaling in a multiple carrier environment is enabled with a multiple carrier codebook having code words that jointly encode acknowledgment for at least two carriers. For an example embodiment, there is a method in a remote terminal for acknowledgment uplink signaling in a multiple-carrier mode. First, a code word is determined that jointly encodes acknowledgment signaling for at least two carriers from a multiple carrier codebook that is stored in the remote terminal. The multiple carrier codebook includes eight code words that are defined to have a single carrier codebook as a sub-codebook of the multiple carrier codebook, each code word of the eight code words having a length of ten. The multiple carrier codebook achieves a minimum Hamming distance of four among the eight code words. Second, an uplink signaling message that includes the determined code word is transmitted from the remote terminal to a wireless network node.

    摘要: A mobile communication station in (MS1) a wireless communication network is used to measure the respective times of arrival of radio signals respectively transmitted by a plurality of radio transmitters (23, 28) in the network. The mobile communication station is provided with real time difference information indicative (RTDs) of differences between a time base (60) used by a radio transmitter (23) serving the mobile communication station and respective time bases used by the other radio transmitters. The mobile communication station determines, in response to the real time difference information and relative to the time base used by the radio transmittter serving the mobile communication station, a plurality of points in time at which the respective radio signals are expected to arrive at the mobile communication station. For each radio signal, the mobile communication station monitors for arrival of the radio signal during a period of time after the point in time at which the radio signal is expected to arrive.
