    摘要: Systems and methods for Secondary Cell (sCell) selection for wireless devices operating according to a carrier aggregation scheme in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, a network node obtains a list of potential sCells for a wireless device. The network node blindly selects an sCell for the wireless device from the list of potential sCells. The network node then configures the wireless device with the selected sCell. Blindly selecting the sCell for the wireless device makes it possible to avoid the use of measurement gaps and reduce throughput loss, according to some embodiments.

    摘要: Systems and methods relating to direct bit rate adaptation for end-to-end communication via a cellular communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of operation of a radio access node in a cellular communications network includes obtaining a bit rate associated with a radio bearer between the radio access node and a wireless device. The radio bearer between the radio access node and the wireless device is part of an end-to-end communication path between the wireless device, as a first end-point of the end-to-end communication path, and a second end-point. The method further includes transmitting the bit rate associated with the radio bearer to the wireless device. By transmitting the bit rate associated with the radio bearer to the wireless device, the radio access node controls a bit rate for the end-to-end communication path between the wireless device and the second end-point.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed relating to implementing a shared cell configuration in a heterogeneous deployment of, e.g., a License Assisted Access (LAA) network. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a processing system to schedule downlink transmissions to wireless devices in a shared cell in an unlicensed frequency spectrum, the shared cell being served by multiple Reception/Transmission (R/T) points, comprises receiving independent Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) decisions from the R/T points serving the shared cell, each CCA decision from each R/T point being indicative of whether a CCA succeeded or failed at the R/T point. The method further comprises performing scheduling for one or more upcoming Transmit Time Intervals (TTIs) based on the CCA decisions received from the R/T points serving the shared cell.
