The method may include: A user plane network element receives a domain name system DNS query message from a terminal device, where the DNS query message is used to obtain an edge server address. The user plane network element sends the DNS query message to an edge application server discovery network element based on first information, where the first information is used to forward one or more DNS messages to the edge application server discovery network element; and the user plane network element and the edge application server discovery network element are network elements deployed in a visited network. In this application, after receiving the DNS query message, the edge application server discovery network element may process the DNS query message, to provide an edge computing service for the terminal device, and discover an edge computing service in the visited network for the terminal device.

摘要: Method, apparatus, and computer program product embodiments are disclosed to setup data path transfer between concurrently operating frequency bands of multiband wireless LAN (WLAN) devices. The embodiments provide an enhancement to the Fast Session Transfer (FST) by introducing a new Information Element (IE) in the Fast Session Transfer (FST) frames to enable negotiating the parameters to be established as a result of switching of at least a portion of the existing data/traffic streams to another frequency band. The new Information Element (IE) includes at least the number of streams being switched and for each stream being switched the stream ID. The new Information Element enables the transmitting and receiving devices to negotiate the connection setup parameters associated with a requested transfer of the operating frequency band.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a camped cell determining method, user equipment, and a network device. The method includes: determining, by UE, whether the UE needs to reselect a cell; if no, obtaining, by the UE, parameter information of a camped cell and parameter information of at least one non-camped cell; determining, by the UE according to the parameter information of the camped cell and parameter information of any non-camped cell, whether a preset condition is met; if yes, using, by the UE, the corresponding non-camped cell as a candidate cell; and selecting, by the UE from at least one candidate cell, a cell corresponding to maximum parameter information as a new camped cell, or selecting, from at least one candidate cell, any candidate cell as a new camped cell, where the preset condition is used to ensure that the parameter information of the non-camped cell is greater than the parameter information of the camped cell. Therefore, the UE can select a better cell from the camped cell and the non-camped cell to camp on, and the camped cell used after the updating has a lower network disconnection rate and call loss rate, so that communication reliability is ensured.

摘要: Transmission techniques using configurable channels for the downlink and/or uplink are described. In one aspect, the downlink channel and/or uplink channel may be independently selected for a terminal. The terminal may establish a connection with a base station on default downlink and uplink channels. Another downlink channel and/or another uplink channel may be selected based on various factors such as channel quality, loading, and interference. The terminal would then switch to the new downlink and/or uplink channel for communication. In another aspect, the base stations broadcast sector information used by the terminals for communication and/or channel selection. The sector information may include various types of information such as the available downlink and uplink channels, the frequencies of the available channels, the loading on the available channels, and QoS information. The terminals may select a sector, a downlink channel, and/or an uplink channel based on the sector information.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and an apparatus for determining a bearer for a mobile edge platform. The method includes the following steps: A MEC obtains a data packet that carries an end marker, obtains, according to the data packet that carries the end marker, a bearer identifier and an identifier of UE in a handover procedure, and requests information about the second bearer from a node of a second bearer. The request carries the bearer identifier of the UE and the identifier of the UE. The node of the second bearer returns a response message and the information about the second bearer according to the request. The MEC receives the response message. The MEC stores the information about the second bearer according to the identifier of the UE and the bearer identifier of the UE. By means of the embodiments of the present invention, the MEC can determine a bearer for the UE after the handover of the UE, so that the MEC can normally communicate with the UE.
