摘要: A method and apparatus for searching a structured P2P network. A requesting node obtains a search term and generates a Bloom filter using the search term. The Bloom filter is sent to a searching node, which compares the received Bloom filter with at least one further Bloom filter stored at a database accessible by the searching node. The further Bloom filter is associated a further node in the P2P network. In the event that the Bloom filter and the further Bloom filter match, the searching node sends towards the requesting node an identity of the further node. This allows the requesting node to query the further node for the required data.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a method 30 for handling latency performed in a node 12, 151, 152, 153, . . . , 15n of a distributed cloud 11. The node 12, 151, 152, 153, . . . , 15n is configured to handle a subset of media processing required by a media service and the distributed cloud 11 comprising two or more such nodes 12, 151, 152, 153, . . . , 15n, wherein a communication path for the media service is configured between at least a first and a second communication device 141, 142. The media service is provided by media streams comprising media packets and the communication path involving two or more of the nodes 12, 151, 152, 153, . . . , 15n. The method 30 comprises: determining 31 processing delay of processing the media packet in the node 12, 151, 152, 153, . . . , 15n the processing delay constituting a first delay contribution; attaching 32 metadata to the media packet, the metadata comprising information about the first delay contribution added to any accumulated delay contributions experienced by the media packet along the communication path.

摘要: An application, peer and method for determining a faulty peer in a structured Peer-to-Peer overlay network. The overlay network includes plural peers besides the faulty peer. The method includes determining that a message sent from a given peer to a target peer along a first path did not reach the target peer; determining an intermediate peer at which the message had arrived; using a second path to send the message from the given peer to the target peer; determining that the message had arrived at the target peer on the second path; adjusting a node identifier (nodeID) of at least one of the target peer and the intermediate peer to obtain a new target peer or a new intermediate peer; and reusing the first and second paths to send the message to the new target peer or the new intermediate peer until the faulty peer is detected.

摘要: System and method for balancing a number of incoming connections of nodes connected to a peer-to-peer network. The method includes receiving at a selecting node information about out-finger candidates. The information includes at least a quantifiable parameter for the out-finger candidates and the out-finger candidates are possible nodes to be connected to the selecting node. The method includes calculating in the selecting node, for each node of the out-finger candidates, a probability value by using a predetermined probability function that uses as input the corresponding quantifiable parameter; and selecting one node from the out-finger candidates to be an out-finger node for the selection node based on the probability value. The probability value is associated with a number of in-finger connections to the selected out-finger node.
