The manufacturing process starts from a continuous material web (2) with an outside layer (5) and an inside (6), the inside layer (6) extending outside the one edge (13) of the web (2) and forming a fixed strip (10). The strip (10) is folded around the edge (13) of the material web (2) and is sealed to the outside layer (5). Thereafter, the web (2) is cut into sheets (12). The sheets (12) are transported further through the manufacturing process with a certain interspace (18) between the sheets (12). The sheets (12) are laminated to two plastic foil webs (20, 22), an outer (22) and an inner (20). The plastic foil webs (20, 22) are laminated so that they each extend outside one edge (13, 15) and form two strips (34, 35). The strips (34, 35) are each thereafter folded around an edge (13, 15) and sealed. The sheets (12) are once again severed from one another centrally in the interspace (18) and the sheets are turned through 90° in relation to the direction of the web.
