Abstract:
Electron-beam deflection system (2) for cathode-ray tubes, which comprises a pair of vertical deflection coils (4), a pair of horizontal deflection coils and a rigid separator (2) which isolates the pairs of deflection coils from each other. The separator (2) includes, on its internal wall (11), attached additional pieces (21, 22) whose profile is matched to the profile of the deflection coils (4) that these pieces hold in position.
Abstract:
Deflector for cathode-ray tube comprising a pair of horizontal deflection coils (3) and a pair of vertical deflection coils (4), the two pairs being in the shape of a saddle and isolated one from the other by a separator (2), a frustoconical shaped ferrite ring (5) at least partially covering the deflection coils, the deflector being characterized in that it includes to the rear of the deflection coils, between the horizontal and vertical deflection coils, four field shapers (20) placed symmetrically with respect to the axes of symmetry of the deflector. These shapers are placed so as to increase the amplitude of the second harmonic of the potential of the vertical deflection field without affecting the fundamental of the said potential in order to act on the phenomena of coma appearing on the horizontal edges of the image formed on the tube screen.

Electromagnetic deflection unit for colour cathode-ray tubes, comprising a pair of frame deflection coils and a pair of line deflection coils, at least one of these two pairs of coils having the shape of a saddle, each saddle-shaped deflection coil (3) having a rear bundle (19) placed on the side facing the electron gun and a front bundle (29) on the side facing the screen, two lateral harnesses of conductors connecting the front bundle to the rear bundle, each lateral harness being characterized in that the external edge of the said lateral harness lies in a radial angular position close to 0° at the rear of the coil and in a radial angular position greater than 5° at the front of the coil, so as to minimize the trapezoid differential error between the red and blue beams.

Abstract:
Device for correcting the geometry of the image created on the screen of a cathode-ray tube, comprising a first set of four coils (33, 34, 35, 36) arranged in series one with the other, coiled on a magnetic core (40, 41), the said coils being traversed by at least a portion of the horizontal deflection current, at least one permanent magnet (39) intended to apply to the core a magnetic field oriented in one direction for one of the pairs of coils and in the opposite direction for the second pair, and a second set of two coils (31, 32) in series one with the other and arranged around the magnetic core so as to contain the magnetic fluxes created by the first set of coils, the two coils being traversed by at least part of the vertical deflection current and arranged so as to create, in the magnetic core, magnetic fluxes oriented in one direction in one of the pairs of coils of the first set and in the opposite direction in the second pair of the first set. The device makes it possible to correct both the horizontal and vertical geometrical defects.
Abstract:
The invention is a color cathode-ray tube having a rectangular front face (1) connected to a funnel shaped rear part (2), a neck (2a) connected to the rear part and having an electron gun (6) therein, the gun is used to generate beams intended to scan the front face under the influence of a deflection device (10) placed on the neck of the tube. The deflection device comprising correction magnets (20) placed on the periphery of the device in locations closest to the front face and a magnetic screen (30) within the tube having an opening (31) for passage of the electron beams, wherein the opening has notches (34) in its periphery. The notches are arranged so as to face at least one pair of correction magnets (20).
