摘要： The invention relates to a method for connecting the joint of two correspondingly profiled ends (4,5) of at least one seal (3), which was previously rolled onto the retaining bars (6) of an application plate (7) and the ends (4,5) of which lie flush against each other, wherein the ends (4,5) are moved away from each other in the longitudinal direction of the seal (3) in order to produce a working gap (8) having a parallel or substantially parallel distance of the ends (4,5) from each other and wherein a heating plate (16) for heating the ends (4,5) of the seal (3) and a welding or adhesive film (17) are inserted in the working gap (8) in succession in order to connect the ends (4,5) of the seal (3) to each other by subsequently closing the working gap (8) and wherein the closed sealing ring is applied to the surface of a vehicle or vehicle part and adhesively bonded thereto by means of the application plate (7). The invention further relates to a device for performing the method.
