Abstract: An optical element includes a grating structure, and the grating structure includes a first grating structure and a second grating structure. A concavo-convex surface includes a first region in which the first grating structure is located, and a second region in which the second grating structure is located and which is located close to the first region in plan view, as viewed perpendicular to the first surface. An azimuth angle of the first grating structure and an azimuth angle of the second grating structure are equal to each other. The first grating structure and the second grating structure have a grating period in a range of 250 nm or more and 500 nm or less, and a difference between the grating period of the first grating structure and the grating period of the second grating structure is 20 nm or more.

Abstract: A display having high resistance to counterfeiting is provided. A display (1) includes a micro concavo-convex structure layer (4) on a predetermined reference surface (H), the micro concavo-convex structure layer (4) having a plurality of microstructures (4A) arranged on the reference surface (H). Each of the microstructures (4A) is formed of a prism structure made of a material that transmits light with a triangular cross-section having a first surface (4Aa) inclined relative to the reference surface (H) in side view, and a second surface (4Ab) having an inclination angle relative to the reference surface (H) such that the inclination angle is larger than an inclination angle of the first surface (4Aa) relative to the reference surface. A color layer 7 as an example of a functional layer is provided on the second surface (4Ab) of all or some of the plurality of microstructures (4A).

Abstract: A hot-stamping foil (1) which is transferred to a transfer target by applying a transfer thermal pressure, includes: a carrier (10) that is a base film or a coated base film; and a laminated optical decoration. The laminated optical decoration has a laminated optical structure (20) formed on the carrier (10); a sinking control layer (30) which contains a soft resin and a deformation limiting agent and is formed on the laminated optical structure (20); and an adhesive layer (30) which is formed on the sinking control layer (30). The adhesive layer (30) contains a resin component which contains a thermoplastic resin having a glass transition temperature lower than room temperature and defines the thickness of the adhesive layer (40), and spacer particles which have a particle size larger than the thickness of the adhesive layer (40) and a portion of which protrude from the resin component. The spacer particles sink into the sinking control layer (30) after transfer thermal pressing.
