摘要: A connection end portion of a inner member (41) is provided with engagement projections (41P, 41P) and a connection end portion of a stay (4B) is formed with reception grooves (Bd, Bd) that are capable of axially receiving the engagement projections. When operation cable (40) is axially inserted into a cylindrical support, the engagement projections (41P, 41P) are axially received in insertion grooves (Sd, Sd) and are retained in terminal end positions thereof that are bent in a circumferential direction. When the stay (4B) is axially inserted into the cylindrical support (2S) in this condition, the engagement projections (41P, 41P) are axially received in the reception grooves (Bd, Bd) and move to terminal end positions thereof that are bent in an opposite circumferential direction. As a result, the operation cable (40) is positioned in an axial connection condition in which the operation cable (40) is suspended in the stay (4B).

摘要: A headrest moving mechanism (10) includes linking members (12, 12) that links a support portion (4A) and a headrest base portion (4C) to each other; and elongated holes (11H, 11H) formed in the headrest base portion (4C). The elongated holes (11H, 11H) slidably receive a connection shaft (13A) provided to the support portion (4A), thereby determining a postural position of the support portion (4A). The elongated holes (11H, 11H) are shaped so as to move the support portion (4A) forwardly and upwardly with respect to the headrest base portion (4C) from an initial position in a time before the vehicle back-side collision happens to a collision preparatory position as the linking members (12, 12) are rotated.

摘要: An operation cable (40) has an operational structure in which an inner member (41) inserted into a tubular outer member (42) is pulled from a lower end side thereof. The operation cable (40) having a double layer structure is axially connected to a double layer cable that is constructed from a stay (4B) of a headrest (4) and a push rod (50) inserted into the tubular stay (4B). In particular, the stay (4B) is inserted into a support (2S) positioned on an upper portion of the seat back (2), a lower end of the stay (4B) and an upper end of the inner member (41) are axially connected to each other, so that a lower end of the push rod (50) in the tubular stay and a head portion (42H) of the outer member (42) are positioned closer to each other. As a result, the push rod (50) can be pushed by the head portion (42H) of the outer member (42) when the operation cable (40) is pulled.
