    摘要: A carrier body (20) of a lift carrier (1) includes: a pair of wheel support mechanisms that supports a first wheel of a vehicle to be transported; a frame-shaped structure (24) connected to the wheel support mechanisms; and one or more lifting units (72) that lift or lower the pair of wheel support mechanisms. The frame-shaped structure (24) includes a frame portion (24a) and an upper plate (24b) and is open on a lower side of the carrier body (20). Each of the lifting units (72) includes a wheel support (74) and an air spring (76). The air spring (76) is interposed between the wheel support (74) and an upper plate (24b). As the air spring (76) expands, the wheel support (74) is rotated about one end of the wheel support (74) rotatably supported by the frame portion (24a), and is deployed out of the frame-shaped structure (24).

A part of an impact force exerted on a front side member (12) is borne by the support forces of a dash cross member (20) and a pillar brace (22) in their axial directions. A recess (24) is provided in the dash cross member (20) at a connection of the dash cross member (20) and the front side member (12), and a recess (26) is provided in the pillar brace (22) at a connection of the pillar brace (22) and the front side member (12). The dash cross member (20) and the pillar brace (22) undergo compression deformation in the axial directions thereof which starts at the recesses (24, 26), thereby absorbing the impact force exerted on the front side member (12) from the front of the car body.
