The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for transmitting data between a field device and a control device. Said arrangement comprises a first data interface (101) for coupling the control device thereto and a second data interface (111) for coupling the field device thereto. A galvanic separation element (108) is interposed between the data interface on the control device end and the data interface on the field device end. The first data interface and the second data interface are coupled to each other via the galvanic separation element so as to be able to communicate with each other.
