The present invention relates to a bedplate (UP) for a rail fastening point in which a rail for a rail vehicle is fastened on a foundation, wherein the bedplate (UP) has a main body with a ribbed structure which is formed into the main body of the bedplate (UP) from the underside (10) assigned to the foundation and which is formed by ribs (26) and apertures (27) which are bounded by the ribs (26) and open towards the underside (10), and to a rail fastening point. The bedplate according to the invention for a rail fastening point can be produced in a simple, cost-effective manner and makes it possible with simple means to avoid indentation into a soft foundation. This is achieved in that the bedplate (UP) additionally comprises a covering (34) which is fastened to the bedplate (UP) after the main body has been produced and which at least partially covers the ribbed structure on the underside (10) of the main body.
