The invention relates to a method for production of a weight-optimised pneumatic tyre rim. A tube section (1a), preferably produced from a welded tube is used to produce a rim bed (1) by cold forming, with rotationally symmetrical, partially different wall thicknesses and then connected to a rim inner joining surface. According to the invention, firstly the wall of the cylindrical tube section (1a), starting from both end edges, around a given rotationally symmetrical region, which forms a flank (6), is brought to a largely exact wall thickness (S2) with formation of a pre-form, whereby the excess material of the flank (6), outside the tolerance range, is displaced in to a deep bed zone (7) between the two flanks (6) and then the flanks (6) are shaped by drawing to the free edge region using pressure, optionally varying in the thickness thereof (S4, SS) and reduced to a given mass.

The invention relates to a method for producing without cutting a gear part having a hub. According to said method, to form the hub a front end of the workpiece made of a steel sheet billet is joined to an additional main spindle (22) and held in position by an additional movable stop (55) having a receiving recess. By pressing the workpiece by means of one or more pressure rollers (66), the thickness of the back of said workpiece is reduced and deformed into a stepped body inside the receiving recess (3) of the movable stop, said stepped body being configured concentrically to form a hub. After the hub has been formed, the front end of the workpiece produced from a steel sheet billet or pre-drawn part is joined to a further main spindle and held in position by an additional movable stop (55) having a receiving recess. By pressing the workpiece by means of one or more pressure rollers (66), the thickness of the back of the workpiece is reduced and deformed into a stepped body inside the receiving recess of the movable stop, said stepped body being configured concentrically to form a hub.

The invention relates to a method for producing a rim for a pneumatic tyre. A rim base with a rear rim flange is produced from a ring-shaped blank (14) by exerting pressure. Said rim base is then connected to a bowl of a rim at the side thereof facing away from the rear rim flange. In order to produce said rim base, the blank (14) is inserted into a compression mould (8) which is embodied as a cavity and is pressed against the at least partially contoured interior of the compression mould (8) by means of at least one compression roll (13).

Disclosed is a method for producing a component, particularly a transmission component, comprising a hub (11) in a pressing process without cutting the metal. In said method, a hub (12) is shaped from a rotating metal disk that has a through-hole (2) by means of at least one rotating pressing roll (8), said hub (12) extending substantially in a radial direction relative to the plane of the metal disk. The disclosed method is characterized in that the pressing roll (8) is radially applied from the outside towards the inside in such a way as to at least temporarily immerse into at least some sections of the metal disk, while pressing disk material (10) from the metal disk against the mold (7) such that a hub (12) is formed that encompasses the mold (7) as an internal section as well as an external hub section (13) which is made from material of the metal disk (1) and is pressed against the mold (7).
