摘要: In an on-vehicle head up display device employing a catoptric system for a windsheid glass of an automobile to project a display image onto an inner surface of the windshield glass, an optical system for letting a virtual image of the display image of a display means enter the windshield glass is adapted to make an angle formed by light beams of the virtual image entering the windshield glass less than a monocular resolving power. Further, an optical means for correcting parallax of the light beams of the virtual image is provided between the optical system and the windshield glass. Thus, a double image formation and binocular parallax may be eliminated. FIG.9

摘要: A display apparatus for a vehicle of the type wherein a display image of a display device located near a focus of an optical system is projected on a front glass of the vehicle so that a virtual image of the display image may be focused at a position forwardly of the front glass. In the display apparatus, when external light entering the optical system has an intensity higher than a predetermined level, a light intercepting means prevents the external light from being received by the display device, thereby preventing thermal destruction of the display device which may possibly be caused by heat given to the display device by intense external light such as the sunlight which is condensed by the optical system.

摘要: A stop light (10) for a vehicle mounted within the vehicle for flashing in synchronism with a brake comprises a light source arranged within the vehicle. A prism (40) is so arranged as to feed a display light from the light source rearward of the vehicle. Further, the prism (40) is so arranged that a driver can confirm a road surface at a rear location of the vehicle through the prism from a field of view of a back mirror. The prism (40) may be formed into so configuration that a surface thereof adjacent to the light source scatters a light from the light source. Moreover, the light source may be formed by a red light source.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a display apparatus for a vehicle in which luminance of the display pattern of letters, graduations, a pointer, and the like are increased without unevenness in the luminance but also the distance between a front face of a pointer plate and a rear face of the movement of the display apparatus is shortened. A circular pointer plate with a transmitting slit is disposed on front a portion of the display apparatus. An outer periphery of the pointer plate is toothed and is engaged with a driving gear fixed to a driving shaft of the movement to be directly driven by the movement. A dial is disposed on a back face of the pointer plate. A portion where the dial overlaps the pointer plate, and other portion for graduations and the like which surrounds the portion are formed as light transmitting portion, but, other portions are formed as light intercepting portion. Behind the pointer plate is installed a discharge lamp with a reflector.
