摘要: A robust and adaptable direct current submarine cable includes, from inside to outside, a conductor unit, an insulation unit, and a protection unit. The protection unit includes a water blocking tape, a metal sheath, and an outer sheath from inside to outside. A return unit is also installed, the return unit having the same current carrying capacity as the conductor unit. When a direct current submarine cable in one circuit fails, the return conductor layer in another intact direct current submarine cable can be used as a return path to form a loop to continue working, ensuring a power transmission capacity of 50% of that of the original cable.

摘要: The present invention provides a submarine cable, which relates to the field of cable technology. The submarine cable includes a plurality of core wires that are stranded together; the core wire includes a first metal wire and a conductive layer wrapping the first metal wire; an electrical conductivity of the conductive layer is greater than an electrical conductivity of the first metal wire. By the above settings, when the submarine cable is energized with alternating current (AC), the current concentrated on a surface part of the first metal wire will be partially transferred to the conductive layer, thereby improving through-current capability of the surface part of the first metal wire, reducing AC resistance of the first metal wire, and reducing power loss.

摘要: Disclosed are a multi-core submarine cable and a method for producing same. The multi-core direct-current submarine cable comprises: two identical polar electric units (11, 12), an additional electric unit assembly (13), several filling strips (15), a belt (161), a cushion layer (162), an armored layer (163), and an outer protective layer (164). The outer diameter of the cross-section of the additional electric unit assembly is the same as the outer diameter of the cross-section of each polar electric unit; the two polar electric units and the additional electric unit assembly are twisted together, and are sequentially provided with the belt, the cushion layer, the armored layer and the outer protective layer wrapped around same; and the several filling strips are disposed in gaps between the two polar electric units and the belt and between the additional electric unit assembly and the belt. The multi-core direct-current submarine cable is conducive to saving laying costs and laying time, and the problem of roundness of electric units with different outer diameters can be effectively solved. In the method for producing the multi-core direct-current submarine cable, the two polar electric units and the additional electric unit assembly are twisted by means of gravity in a vertical direction, and twisting of the multi-core direct-current submarine cable can be stably and efficiently achieved.

摘要: A submarine cable and a manufacturing method of the submarine cable. The submarine cable includes a number of structural units and the protection unit. The protection unit includes an outer protective layer and an armor layer positioned at the outer periphery. The armor layer includes an inner armor layer and an outer armor layer. An angle between a monofilament of inner armor layer and central axis of cable is larger than an angle between a monofilament of outer armor layer and the central axis, or such angle between the monofilament of inner armor layer and center axis is opposite to the angle between the monofilament of outer armor layer and center axis. The protection for the submarine cable is thereby improved.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a submarine cable heterogeneous conductor and a processing method therefor, and a submarine cable and a preparation method therefor. The submarine cable heterogeneous conductor includes a first conductor, a second conductor, a third conductor, and a fourth conductor connected in sequence, the second conductor including a second conductor core, the third conductor including a third conductor core, the second conductor and the third conductor being conductors of different materials, the first conductor and the second conductor being conductors of the same material, the third conductor and the fourth conductor being conductors of the same material, the first conductor being a conductor formed by stranding and pressing first conductor metal wires, and the fourth conductor being a conductor obtained by stranding and pressing second conductor metal wires. The second conductor and the third conductor of different materials are friction welded to form an alloy structure of the two materials at the joint, so that an electrochemical reaction between the second conductor and the third conductor can be suppressed, and the strength of the copper-aluminum welding joint can also be effectively controlled, thereby improving the welding quality of the submarine cable heterogeneous conductor as a whole.

摘要: This application provides a joint box for bundled submarine cables, which relates to a technical field of submarine cables. The joint box for bundled submarine cables includes a first anchoring element, a second anchoring element, a protective cover, at least three electric connectors, at least one optical connector and a sealed cabin. Connection of two bundled submarine cables is achieved using an electric connector and an optical connector. Both of the electric connector and optical connector include male parts and female parts. The male parts of the electric connector and optical connector are fixed on a male housing of the sealed cabin, and the female parts of the electric connector and the optical connector are fixed on a female housing of the sealed cabin, thereby achieving docking of the sealed cabin in one piece and connection of respective connectors in a one-to-one correspondence, avoiding a problem that cable cores of two bundled submarine cables are connected in a disorderly manner in the joint box for bundled submarine cables. Further, the connection of the cable cores inside the joint box for the bundled submarine cables can be effectively completed to ensure safety of construction and operation.
