The modular charging element of the present disclosure is suitable for attaching to the modular busbar, and includes a charging connection for connecting an electric vehicle to the modular busbar. The modular components provide a safe, reliable and low-cost solution for outfitting a parking area with electric vehicle charging infrastructure with low installation effort, while further offering enhanced flexibility in charging operation across a charging network.
