The present invention is directed at a method of production gain oriented Fe—Si steel sheet presenting an induction value at 800 A/m above 1.870 Tesla and a core power loss lower than 1.3 W/kg at a specific magnetic induction of 1.7 Tesla (T). The steel chemical composition comprises, in weight percentage: 2.8≦Si≦4, 0.20≦Cu≦0.6, 0.05≦Mn≦0.4, 0.001≦Al≦0.04, 0.025≦C≦0.05, 0.005≦N≦0.02, 0.005≦Sn≦0.03, S≦0.015 and optionally Ti, Nb, V or B in a cumulated amount below 0.02, the following relationships being respected: Mn/Sn≦40, 2.0≦C/N≦5.0, Al/N≦1.20, and the balance being Fe and other inevitable impurities.

The invention relates to a steel sheet provided with a multilayer coating including at least one zinc-based layer including 0.1 to 20 wt.-% magnesium, said zinc-based layer being topped with a fine temporary protective layer having a thickness of between 5 and 100 nm and consisting of a metal or metal oxide selected from the group containing aluminum, chromium, aluminum oxides AlOx, x being strictly between 0.01 and 1.5, and chromium oxides CrOy, y being strictly between 0.01 and 1.5. The aforementioned zinc-based layer, which contains 0.1 to 20 wt.-% magnesium, is not alloyed with the temporary protective layer. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a steel sheet and a part.

The invention relates to a method for producing a metal strip having an anti-corrosion metal coating. Said method comprises the following steps: the metal strip is passed through a melt; the coated metal strip is then dried by means of nozzles projecting a gas on either side of the strip, the gas having an oxidising power lower than that of an atmosphere consisting of 4% vol. of oxygen and 96% vol. of nitrogen; and the strip is then passed through a confinement region defined, in the bottom part, by the drying line and upper faces of the drying nozzles, in the top part, by the upper part of two confinement boxes placed either side of the strip, just above the nozzles, and at least 10 cm high in relation to the drying line, and on the sides, by lateral parts of the confinement boxes, the atmosphere in the confinement region having an oxidising power lower than that of an atmosphere consisting of 4% vol. of oxygen and 96% vol. of nitrogen, and higher than that of an atmosphere consisting of 0.15% vol. of oxygen and 99.85% vol. of nitrogen. The invention also relates to a coating installation and a confined drying device (10; 20; 30) for implementing said method.
