The invention relates to a meth- od for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions in a bubbling fluidized bed boiler. The method comprises supplying nitrogen oxide reductant in the boiler furnace at a cer- tain injection level where the tempera- ture in the furnace is such as to enable the nitrogen oxide reductant to reduce nitrogen oxide concentration in the flue gas. The invention relates to a method for feeding air to a fluidized bed boiler. The method comprises supplying primary air into the first combustion zone (I) from under the fluidized bed and supplying combustion air for volatile matter into the first combustion zone (I) along with the fuel supply. Part of the combustion air for volatile matter is supplied as a first combustion air supply mixed with the fuel supply and part of the combustion air for volatile matter is supplied as a second combustion air supply surrounding at least part of the fuel supply. The invention relates to decentralized energy production. In particular, the invention concerns a system for coupling a monophase power source to an internal multiphase power network of a household, company, or other property. The internal network is further connected to an external power distribution grid. The system comprises an interface unit comprising a first connection point for said monophase power source and a second connection point for said multiphase power network, the interface unit allowing for monophase power from the monophase power source to be fed to the multiphase network, and means functionally connected to the interface unit for monitoring the loading states of individual phases of the multiphase power network. The interface has coupling means to couple monophase power to selectively one of the phases of the multiphase power network based on the loading states of the individual phases of the multiphase power network. The invention improves cost-efficient usage of locally produced power and saves transmission losses.

A sorbent for antimony anions, consisting essentially of particles or granules of zirconium oxide having a distribution coefficient for antimony anions of at least 10,000 ml/g. The invention also provide a method of producing the new sorbent as well as methods of removing antimony and optionally tcchnctium from solutions. The coefficient of distribution is so high that the material can readily be applied to industrial use. The preparation process is straightforward and the sorbent can be produced from readily available materials at moderate conditions.

The invention relates to process for the production of a drag reducing agent wherein a monomer or monomer mixture comprising one or more C4-C30 monoolefins, preferably C6-C20 monoolefins, is polymerized into an essentially non-crystalline, hydrocarbon-soluble, ultrahigh molecular weight drag reducing polymer in the presence of a polymerization catalyst system comprising a Group 4-6 (IUPAC 1990) transition metal compound and an organoaluminium compound. In order to obtain a shear force resistant drag reducing agent, said transition metal compound has been prepared by providing a support comprising an atomized complex of a magnesium halide and a monohydric C1-C4 alcohol and contacting the support with a halogenous titanium compound and a C6-C18 alkyl carboxylic acid ester under conditions which deposit the halogenous titanium compound on the support and cause transesterification between the monohydric C1-C4 alcohol and the C6-C18 alkyl carboxylic acid ester. The shear force resistance can further be improved by copolymerizing the C4-C30 monoolefin(s) with 0.0001-10%, based on of the weight of the C4-C30 monoolefin(s), of a polyunsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon.
