The present invention concerns a method for the fumigation treatment of agricultural lands and a machine, for carrying out such method. These method and machine are adapted in particular to perform such land fumigation treatment at a greater depth than the one reached by tools for plowing the land and for earthing big-sized stones and clods. The machine of the invention comprises anchors (4) adapted to open a lenticular recess (6) in the land and sprayers (5) adapted to spray liquid fumigating substances in the lenticular recess (6), these anchors making the lenticular recess (6) without overturning the above land, so that the recess (6) closes itself after the spraying of liquid fumigating substances, preventing the dispersion in the atmosphere of fumes produced by the liquid fumigating substances.

Die Wirkstoffe (19,21) sind in Mikrokapseln (20) enthalten, die in einer Dispersion schwimmen oder in Mikronadeln (5) deponiert sind. Der aufgesprühte oder injizierte mikroverkapselte Klebstoff gelangt mit der Nahrung in die Freß/Verdauungsorgane der Schädlinge, die mechanisch oder chemisch geöffneten Mikrokapseln geben die Wirkstoffe (19,21) frei und durch Kontakt mit Wasser, Luft, Verdauungssekret der Schädlinge oder einer anteiligen Härterkomponente wird der Klebstoff aktiviert und macht die Freß/Verdauungsorgane funktionsuntüchtig. The method and apparatus for ozone treatment of soil suitable for plant growth purposes can be used in conjunction with other agricultural methods such as irrigation (801), tilling (802), and fertilization (805). For example, soil is irrigated (801) to ensure proper moisture for tilling (802) and afterwards is allowed to dry (803) by exposure to the sun or is dried artifically with heated air. Then, after an ozone treatment step (804) the soil is fertilized (805) for receiving seeds or seedlings (806). The plants from seeds or seedlings experience enhanced growth due to absence of detrimental biological organisms that were killed by ozone treatment (804). The soil is once again irrigated (807) and pesticides or herbicides applied (808), as needed. After harvesting (809), the steps can be repeated for another season.
